Oh Vlad

So I didn't get to see Beach House after all due to friends cancelling plans and me being unable to find the place myself if I wanted to. Bleh.
Oh well. Instead I got an issue of Russh and I-D, plus a pair of tap shoes for the fun of it. I'm a bit disgusted with myself for buying so much stuff lately.
In fact I declare today the end of it. Otherwise I've brought in about 10 rolls of film to develop and started reading Speak, Memory which is Nabokov's autobiography.
I assume deeper thoughts and more writing will come with the fall. Goodbye August!

11 yrs old and insaaanely horse krazy...

I still want a penpal. Like the kind you had in second grade that you found in a pony magazine and sent stickers to, then eventually forgot to write back to. Except without forgetting to write back. I'd like to (hand) write essays about anything and everything to you and get mail back. I promise to be interesting and not talk about the weather, unless you'd like to talk about weather. It's not that boring anyway.

I like the sound of Accordians and photo collages with no theme. My dad calls me a romantic because i like to sit on my bed and eat ice cream while watching frenchy movies. I like the peacefulness of snow and want to live in Moscow one winter. I like to climb things. I idolize cats. I don't like school but I like to learn things. I find it hard to believe I'll ever get old. I'm 16 and I already feel like I'm getting old. A lot of my humor is irony and wordplay and deadpanny stuff, and I get sick of it sometimes. I think youth is fascinating and it's my favorite word, along with flesh.

This may or may not have been an excuse to talk about myself.

Auburn & Ivory

Hello! Sorry for the absence, busy days. I've gotten lost, gotten shoes, gotten friends, and don't wake up feeling empty anymore. It's the most carefree i've ever been, and definitely a nice change. I'm seeing Beach House on Sunday. Eh, and Grizzly Bear, but I don't care much for them anymore. To be honest i didn't watch more than 30 seconds of this video, but it's got the song, so. Hope you're all well.

I WANT MY THOUGHTS ON VINYL

Wooho crap paint drawings! It's so wonderful being back. The Jet lag coming back is the best cause I wake up at 6:30 am and have these long summer days. I've seen two friends so far and ditched one because it's just too humid to walk around outside. I'm really hating the abundance of spiders here and everyone's getting sick of getting rid of them for me already. I'll acknowledge comments and dress measurements (Angelica!) soon enough, but for now I'm having difficulty concentrating on anything, even just two minute songs.

Where are the Snowdens of yesteryear?

Goodbye sweet quiet nights in Norway where it's already fall, now it's back to the heat and hurricane of New York.
I finished Catch 22 and It was wonderful. I feel as though I'm best friends with Yossarian.

No symbolic dressing

"Follows his boy right into the East River,
down through condoms and orange peels,
mosaic of floating newspapers,
down into the silent black ooze with gangsters in concrete,
and pistols pounded flat to avoid the probing finger of prurient ballistic experts."
-William Burroughs, Naked Lunch

I wrote lots of little excerpts from Naked Lunch in my journal back in January and remembered them last night.

A Playlist Post.

Since for the past two months I haven't been able to write anything other than lists I thought a playlist would be nice... so I made a kind of big one. Coming up with titles is the most fun. Also the best part about reading people's playlists is when you see something on there you know and can instantly Love/Hate/Relate to the person who wrote it. I repeated a lot of Artists on here, cause they're all songs I listen to or would listen to in said situations and also my entire ITunes got deleted some time ago, meaning all the funny little in-between songs disappeared as well. Oh well. Anyway, Enjoy and write me what you Love/Hate/Can Relate To/Etc. About it all.

Rainbow Everywhere

I'm bored out of my mind and blank.
I borrowed by uncle's Seinfeld DVDs. I've seen them all before. (They're still fab)
I've only listened to Wavves in the past two days.
I've probably posted this picture before. Have to wait forever for new pictures. Blah.
My friend asked me if i bought Miss Dior Cherie cause of the Sofia Coppola ad but i actually had it waaay before that so i felt really cool and all.
Yesterday I climbed across the underside of a bridge.
I dare everyone who reads this to comment.

Blow Up

I'm watching this now. I have a hard time concentrating on movies, especially in theatres. Because they're usually not good when i see them in theatres most of all. I often end up leaving before its over. I like this one though.

New New New

I'm bored of plain blogging cause all I have to talk about lately is film and plans for myself which are rather boring to write about. So I'm going to be a bit sloppy and experimental for now.

Fjell Tur

And now I'm off on a two-day mountain adventure. I was sure I'd run completely out of film and went around to everyone whining about it when my aunt nearly broke down the door to my house, pleased she'd found some laying around for me. So there will be no lack of obsessive life documenting (in color) luck-ully.

I'm reading Cities of the Red Night by Burroughs which I'm really liking, and this other book i kind of stole from my aunts shelf in Italy called Kiss My Tiara. It's hilarious in it's outdated and cool mom-ish use of language. It's pretty much a feminist guide to life kind of book, but It's nearly impossible to take seriously cause of how it's written. Although it raises some good points. Despite the title...

I went to a newly opened thrift store in the next town from me today and bought Spike by Elvis Costello on Vinyl, an old leather purse, and a wool coat with toggles that fits perfectly.
Now I'm wondering how i want to go about presenting my photography and such this year.
And I miss having everything on one blog. Argh.
I might have posted this picture before but I don't remember.
